Religious Awards – MedalsScouts can work and earn Religious Medals through their religious leader. They are awarded by the denomination. A purple Knot is presented to the Scout during a Pack Meeting who has earned a Religious Medal to wear on his uniform.
Advancement towards RankEarning a religious award is one way a Scout can complete Wolf, Bear and Webelos Religious Achievements. Denomination SpecificMost denominations have prepared age appropriate materials for the youth in their congregations. The awards are administered by Programs of Religious With Youth. A good time to begin is in the Fall. Organize and PromoteParents may organize group sessions with their Religious leader and invite scouts and other youth from their congregation to participate.
