2007 FAMILY CAMP - MAY 19 & 20 .

Cost for food and facility use is $3.00 per person. Your den contact will collect this money. Make checks payable to Pack 457.

Arrive any time after 1:00pm on Saturday, depart after the Pack meeting Saturday (7:00pm), or after breakfast Sunday. Bring lawn chairs and camping gear.

Free-play time is the main activity. First timers - be sure to bring more than one pair of shoes and clothes for your boys, as they will get wet playing in the creek!

The Pack will provide paper products, hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments, side dishes (chips & beans), desert, and charcoal. Each individual Den will be responsible for the balance of their picnic dinner to include their drinks, side dishes (if you want something other than chips and beans), and samores by the campfire. Please let your den contact know by 5/10/07 how many from your den are planning on coming for the picnic dinner and how many will be staying overnight so that we can buy enough food and plan breakfast.

Dinner at 5:00pm, Pack meeting from 6:00 - 7:00pm.
The big event for the meeting will be rank advancement for all boys. We will be distributing books and neckerchiefs.

There are good bath room facilities directly across from our campsite with sinks and flush toilets.

Contact your den leader with questions.

Things to do at CAMP GRIZZLY CUB WORLD (Located at Beaumont Reservation)

Castle Blackhawk - Located high on a hillside is a castle with a dungeon, attack ladder, catapult, and slide.
Eagle's Nest Tower - Located behind Castle Blackhawk on one of the highest points of Beaumont is the Eagle's Nest Tower. A three-level tower over 20 feet high offers a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside.
Webelos Way Obstacle Course - A series of physical challenges.
Maze - Have fun trying to get through the many corridors of the maze. Only one way is correct, so don't be surprised if you find many dead ends.
Fort Hussmann - This area provides your Webelos the chance to dream about life in a frontier fort. The area contains a fort, fire ring, and picnic tables.
Sea Wolf Pirate Ship - Relive the days of Blackbeard the Pirate. The ship contains cannons, knotting racks, sails, and rigging.
Lost Beaumont Mine - Sand and tunnels abound in this unique area. A miner's cabin with a potbelly stove is a major feature, along with an ore wagon and panning for gold in Antire Creek.
Sports Field - A sports field exists for softball or other sports activities in which your Cub Scout pack or den wants to participate
Oh, by the way, did I mention the creek?!?!?
