Leader Basic Training is for all levels of Cub leaders is a must for new leaders and when changing duties within the Pack. The training is broken into two parts, each part a 2 hour session. The sessions may been held on the same day or on two separate days. See Calendars for session dates.

Leaders should re-attend "Basic Training - part 2"
when their responsibilities change as in moving from Den Leader to Cubmaster,
or Committee Chair to Cubmaster, etc. It is also important to re-attend when
transitioning between Wolf/Bear Leader to Webelos leader as the programs are
quite different.
The council offers
seamless training now. You will be first trained in - New Leader Essentials.
This will cover all scouter's from Tigers to Venturing leaders. It is a hour
and a half course and you only need to take it once.
Then you can take Cub Scout Leader Specific
Training. Which cover each position as follows: Tiger Den Leaders, Den Leader,
Webelos Leader, Cub Masters, or Committee Persons
Or
Boy Scout Leader
Specific Training which includes: Scout masters training and Committee
Training.
You may also do the Boy
Scout Leaders Outdoor Skills Training session.
Or
Also for your training
pleasure we will be offering a BALOO training.
What is BALOO? - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation - that is a course
designed for the adult leader that has not been camping before.
And no it will not
replace the Webelos Leader Outdoor Training
As soon as we have firm dates on our trainings in the Pony Express district and
other Districts I will have them posted along with costs.
A monthly meeting for all Scout Leaders. A great place to meet other people in scouting, get new ideas, learn songs, cheers, ceremonies you can take back to your Den or Pack. The emphasis is on hands on activities centered around the theme for the month. For Webelos leaders, break out sessions to enhance the program. Keep up on what's happening in scouting in your area, and earn Cub Bucks for the annual auction in May. See Calendars for meeting dates
A gold mine of Scouting classes. Held annually by the council typically in late January. The Pow Wow is a one day event for all leaders from Tigers to Webelos. Classes include cooking, wood carving, places to go and people to see, Blue & Gold dinner, How to's, and much more. Not an event to be missed. See Calendars for date.

Youth Protection Training
Provides the information to insure that the Cub Scout and Boy Scouts in your care are properly protected against child abuse. Teaches you how to recognize signs of child abuse. Teaches you how to avoid unfounded allegations of child abuse. Needed by every Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Varsity Scout leader.
